Coming to this facility was my best decision the staff here is excellent the food is pretty good for a rehab my c.n.a are pretty awesome the therapist are amazing the staff goes above and beyond for us the patient our concierge Susie is my best support system, she makes sure I’m ok every day she really makes my stay enjoyable and make me feel at home .
I'm a patient here at sunrise health and rehab,when I first arrived at this rehab I wasn't sure what to expect .I felt a mix of emotions but as the days went by I realized I wasn't alone the staff and peers around me became a source of support, and I started to see recovery as not just a process,but a transformation Ruth Paulette have been an amazing team Susie the concierge have beenamazing caring understanding always gives you a warm welcome she makes you feel like family not juat a patient great asset to your facility.
Clinical Educator, Michael Smith is a wonderful educator. He touched all aspects of the classroom orientation. I learned a lot from him. And he is a very nice person.

Excellent staff. Caring and kind people. Tracy Chung handles everything. Goes above and beyond. And Doneila greets everyone at the door with big smile. Nursing looks after patients with tenderness. The rehab staff amazing. Most patient people you could meet. Daniel did an amazing job.
Special kudos to Gailanne, Lekisha, and Kenenta Who knows and does their job so well I would like to take all of them home with me. I hope that they are all paid accordingly or I may steal them from here. Most of the other CNAS I feel goes above and beyond, teaches me how to be a good patient in the best way possible for everyone concerned.I also loved the concierge team. Susie was nice and I really loved the night shift concierge: Valeria and Jhailynn - I just want to say thank you so much for making my time here so wonderful and pleasant. This facility is an excellent facility the therapist are very good everyone in general was very good to me my C.N.N Ruth was very good she help me a lot during my stay the food was very good the house keep kept my room very clean, and not to mention the concierge Susie really goes above and beyond beyond for me and my roommate she makes sure all our needs questions are always taken care of , and the other concierge that works in the evening does a very great job also with the snacks .

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. My mom has been living in the memory care wing for over a year. They take amazing care of her. Everyone from Michelle at the front desk to every single nurse and aid goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and part of the family. They have activities for the residents which is so amazing. Thank you for taking such good care of my mom.
Very professional attentive and respectful to the patients and long term nursing . Greeted by a friendly receptionist Viersela Michel. The nurses and cna are very helpful in all needs between patients and families. They have concierge and fine dining room for lunches. They have lots of recreation for patients. Valerie and Dulcio the CNA, she takes really good care of me. Jessie, Beatrice, and Tassia my nurses as well they go above and beyond for me. Deedee the reception is always a treat and Omar the Unit Manager always nice to me and treats me so well. And Yolanda the nurse in F-wing and the CNA’s : JJ, Paulette, and Yolanda. I recently was faced with the decision to place my mom in a nursing facility, my perception and fears have kept me from doing so. I was told by my mother's physician to go see a facility, I finally decided to take a look i was expecting a sad and depressed place and staff that didn't care, I was so wrong! I would give Sunrise Health and Rehab a 5+++, I could not have been more impressed by this facility. We walked in and it felt like we were in a 5 star hotel, my jaw dropped to the floor. It's like a brand new facility that is BEAUTIFUL. I was greeted by a friendly face who immediately got a staff member to give me a tour, i was surprised by how engaged the staff were,The staff that i encountered were friendly and took the time to ask if i had any questions the administrator greeted me and sat to answer my questions she gave me exactly what i needed that was to know she cared and most important she will be treated like family.From the activities to the dining room to the individual rooms, it was amazing. The lady we worked with was great and the atmosphere of the whole place was very upbeat.I am extremely pleased to know i found an amazing place for my mom.
Lorna and Gailann CNA'S are tremendous. They wash my hair today after haven't been washed in 50 days. Also they make sure I'm well shaved have have my nails cut. They are exceptional CNA'S.

Sunrise Rehab is truly the best rehab in Fort Lauderdale area. From the leadership all the way down to the janitor, they love their jobs and it truly shows. You will have the best quality care while you stay here. They care about the patient’s wellbeing first and foremost. The facility is always growing and offering new services to simplify the patients life. It’s very rare to find hands on ownership like this facility. I highly recommend Sunrise Rehab for anyone needing to go to a rehab center.

Can't wait to be headed home tomorrow after 5 weeks at Sunrise Health and Rehab. Not a fun place for anyone, but they are fortunate enough to employ some outstanding people who are caring, friendly, and encouraging. People like Jhailynn Jacques and Valerie (asst concierge), and Margaret Anderson and Paula Champagne (CNA's). There are too many others to mention here. (Many on staff of unit 11).There's some who ain't all that but I'll review them elsewhere
I am so thankful for Veleria. I just got to rehabilitation from hospital and had no clothing. Was having trouble getting stuff right away. She taught trick. Some trick and some will be delivered shortly.

Their fall fest event was awesome! From the bounce houses to the great food and entertainment everything was amazing. I even got the opportunity to take a tour of the facility with Danielle, where she informed me of all the things they had to offer. I am looking forward to next years Fall Fest already!!!

I am a patient at Sunrise, I had a really good experience I like going to my yoga and rehab therapy and also the customer service from concierge and when they bring my late night snacks.
After another review I did receive a call from my father's sw, Tracy. We had a very nice conversation regarding how to keep contact with my dad. She said my dad's personal flip phone could be left at the nurse's station. I also asked if he could practice holding the phone during rehab.As of this afternoon I was called by Tracy. She acted as though we had not spoken about the phone. She talked about the unit not being capable of securing the phone and repeatedly spoke of my awareness re: my dad's illness and explaining that patients wander around and take things that don't belong to them. I pointed out I thought that was why it was kept at the nurse's station. She then said that the patients go behind the nurse's station as well. Very concerning to hear.

Charmaine,the administrator at the Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation Center, has been a life saver for our family. My 100 year old step father was struggling following a stroke and Charmaine jumped in to help facilitate his seamless and comforting transfer to Sunrise. From the moment he arrived, he has been treated as a family member by the whole staff and the progress he’s made is extraordinary. Everyone needs an advocate when serious medical issues arise and Charmaine was that hero for us. Thank you Charmaine!

Sunrise Rehab has the best services for people who need extensive therapy. They are fantastic the nursing staff is right on target with helping the patient. Jessie the nurse is one of the most caring amazing helpful nurses we have ever met. I can certainly attest that the 4.8 rating is a valid rating for Sunrise Health and Rehab. We are giving them 5 stars for their treatment of my 84 year old dad. My dad fell and broke his back and was actually sent to another facility for rehab before Sunrise and it was not a good experience. It basically set my dad back because of the way the administrators and case workers don't know how to handle the insurance and discharged him well before he was ready to go. My sister and I did our research this time before selecting Sunrise Health and Rehab and we are glad we did. Sara from admissions has been a godsend in taking the responsibility and stress out of dealing with the insurance and making sure we can just concentrate on my dad getting better. She is one of the best administrators I have ever run across in the medical field and we have run across too many for comfort. She is smart and efficient and follows through with her words! Besides Sara, I want to mention that Joy the B unit secretary has also been very helpful in coordinating the care we need for my dad's appointments outside of Sunrise Rehab. She also is extremely efficient in carrying out the tasks at hand to make everything so much easier than any other Rehab facility we have used for our mom and dad's rehab. Finally I want to mention that the Physical Therapy department is also outstanding and great at dealing with my dad who isn't the easiest person to deal with as he can be impatient and get anxious. In particular, I want to point out Jenny and Kaye who I have seen in action as I've been there several times during therapy sessions to observe his progress. They ensure my dad is always calm and collected before starting his physical therapy as when he is anxious he doesn't perform and get the benefits and progress he needs to come back home. They are also very patient in dealing with him and I have seen great progress with him being able to do most of the same things he was doing before his injury. Thanks to everyone at Sunrise Health and Rehab for taking such great care of my dad and helping our family out so much and reducing our stress level!
This place is a death trap. They caused my father and now my father in law into failure to thrive. They should shut this place down or hire people that actually know what they're doing which care for the patients. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!!!!
The nursing home is clean & nicely decorated. It’s nice to see people who actually care. Susie (Concierge) is the sweetest and always talks to residents and cheers them up. Definitely recommend this facility (:
My dad is here at Sunrise and I am very happy with the care he is receiving. I really want to take the time out to say thanks to his Nurse Tassia, and Jessie. The concierge Shanique is great, she checks on my dad daily and make sure he’s doing okay. I am very pleased and everything is positive and great here.
Sunrise is really a nice facility with loving caring staff. My husband been at this facility for over 3 months and the care he received is top tier. The CNAS Gailann, Falon, Aliany, Myrline, Caronite, The Nurses, Tassia, Jessie, Marie. The Unit secretary Joy, the Concierge Shanique are all great Human beings. I love you guys and I am very pleased with the care my husband received from you guys.
My cousins husband was there for about 2 weeks and all they did was drug him up. He was drugged up from morning, afternoon, and night. He was like a different person, so sad. It was like they couldn't be bothered with him so they drugged him up. He eventually went to Coconut Creek Rehabilitation and he wasn't drugged up 24 hours a day and was back to his old self. Sunrise Rehabilitation Center should be investigated because I'm sure my cousins husband is not the only one they drugged up it's probably what they do to most patients.

I recommend this facility a 100%, everyone is so nice to me. The therapy department is really great. Dane the therapist is very good, he work on me so well to help me get back up and going. I really enjoyed my stay here, I have been treated so very well. The view from my room is very nice, my roommate is awesome. Shanique the Concierge is so professionalShe comes in daily to check on me to make sure I was okay. The dietitian make sure I was getting the meals I can eat because of my allergies. The nurses are great, the cnas are loving. This place is God sent. I am pleased.
I am beyond grateful for this facility. I was admitted one evening and I wasn’t feeling my best. The concierge Shanique made sure I ate, I got my meds and that I was comfortable. She gave me a nice, comfy blanket. She explained everything very detailed to me as to what to expect of my stay here, every evening she would bring me my drumstick ice cream and one for my roommate as well. Tassia and Jessie are amazing Nurses who goes above and beyond and the CNAs are awesome. I recommend this facility to friends and family ♥️ 5 star

I spent 9 weeks at Sunrise Rehabilitation due to a shattered ankle. I am now home and recovering thanks to the nursing and CNA staff plus administration.I would like you to give special high praises to my evening CNA - Valorie and my morning CNA Gailann. And special thanks to Lorna who covered both AM and PM shifts over the weekends. She is most helpful and kind.. They all took such great personal care of me and I will be forever grateful. If I forgot anyone on section B I’m sorry but please know I am very grateful and wish you all the best.I do have a few suggestions also as not everything is perfect in any business.- the CNA’s are so understaffed all shifts. They need more help during all the shifts. I have never seen more hardworking employees in my life. Having a couple more on staff for each shift is greatly needed. The patient is the one that suffers having to wait for attention.The new CNA’s need more training before they are on their own. I experienced a few instances that could have not happened with proper training.All employees in the medical field that are employed in the USA should speak English, I had a couple of instances that I could not communicate with the CNA - unacceptable and could be serious consequences for the patient.Once menu changes by the patient are submitted they need to be read and followed by the kitchen staff who ultimately coordinate the items to be delivered for each meal.Thank you!

Sunrise Rehabilitation Center has been excellent taking care of my mother Wendy Turnes. She was well loved and the nurses treated her very well and with respect. The activity room was her favorite and the staff Moreen and others are so amazing to the patients. I can honestly say my mom had a family here outside of her own family. I am a Resident at this amazing institution. I been to other facilities before and there is none that can top Sunrise Health And Rehab. The staff here really care and you can see the joy on their faces when pleasing the residents. Can you imagine they have a concierge at a nursing home. I enjoy my stay at this facility. The staff is very loving and caring. My wife came here about 8 weeks ago with very limited walking and range of movement. Over the weeks she had physical therapy and she has improved greatly walking on her own. The staff here is very kind and very caring She has been in quite a few rehabilitation centers and Sunrise is the best. Special thanks to the CNA’s especially Gail who has taken very good care of her also the Nursing staff, and the nutrition staff which catered to her needs Oh almost forgot to give a heads up to the administrative staff too .Shanique ,Tassia,Lorna,Charmaine,and Jessie who took excellent care of her too. I know the ins and outs of this level of care and I see the difference in the care Sunrise provides and the perfection they strive for. What should speak volumes about how much I believe in this community is that I brought my own mom here for rehab. We never want to be in this situation with our parents but when my mom went to Sunrise, I was amazed at how fast she progressed and how much better she is doing. I am very grateful to Jenna Social Services Director, Sheila and her Phsical Therapy team, the Dietary staff, The Concierges Shanique, Susie, Robert.The Activities department who make sure my Mom is always comfortable and well taken care of. Darla and Marly from Recreational Therapy are very compassionate and patient individuals. My mom enjoys the variety of activities they offer from ice cream socials, bingo, and movies to manicures, hand massages, group games and even live entertainment. They encourage participation and engagement amongst the patients and their families and really spend time getting to know them. I’m very happy with the program and the staff and feel confident that mom is kept active and content.
Wow, the concierge Robert is absolutely amazing! The service is top-notch, and he genuinely care about each and every person who walks through their doors. He is incredibly friendly, and the level of service he provided is truly excellent. I've been to other places before, but none of them even come close to offering this kind of exceptional service. I met Miss Shanique while my aunt was staying at this fabulous institution. My mom was well cared for, but what really put the icing on the cake was meeting Miss Shanique and the way in which she gave us all the information needed to make us more comfortable with our aunt’s stay!! She made us so at ease.
The concierge Shanique is so amazing. She is extremely kind, friendly and always available to help. She is very interactive with all the residents and the families. She is constantly encouraging the residents to be involved in all the social activities.

My mom was sent here for rehab after she broke her hip and I must say her experience was great. The room was clean and modern, the nursing staff was nice, the physical therapist was excellent. I give this place a 10/10. There is also a cute little dog named Teddy who is on staff here, he walks around and gives all the patients hugs.
Sunrise has great care. The staff love their residents and help to rehab them home better than they were before.
I was Very satisfied with the service the staff Provided for Lamond Smith they were fantastic he got great care.Physiotherapist was excellent, and they helped Lamond to achieve his goal. meaning that he is walking with a walker.Justin from dietary was very helpful and knowledgeable, the CNAs were great to him, and he really improved with everyone’s help. For a 96 year old - he came in the facility with a lower weight but gained weight & improved walking & ready to go home.He really enjoyed the food!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this facility. I was very sick and couldn't go home after being in the hospital. The staff was fabulous, from the excellent administration, to all of the dedicated personnel.I received physical therapy, (Fatima, Daniel and Toni) occupationaltherapy (Tammy, Dyan and Solvenus.) The therapy helpers like Sally and Joe help things go smoothly.They have a wonderful concierge service (Susie, Shanique and Robert) to assist with your needs .CNA's (Ruth, Margaret, Annette and Josie) and my wonderful nurse Carolyn, Unit Manager Ashlei and Unit secretary Gracie Ann.Kimberly and Michelle were outstanding, as well as Lurline and her activities staff were wonderful.Social services staff Carolina was exceptional in keeping me up to date and helping me with some additional assistance that I needed. Best wishes to Georgie and Teddy as well. Thank you to Dr. Johnson. Thank you to Luz who kept my room clean everyday. Compliments to the chefs!They also have chair yoga with Claudia and wonderful other activities that heal not just your body, but your mind and spirit as well. ❤️

Her dedication to her patients and profession says volumes to me and probably her other patients too! I’ve definitely had some hurdles to overcome. She has attended to me like a daughter to her mother. Any obstacles I’ve faced on her shift are addressed to the capacity she is capable of achieving!Next i will compliment CNA Ileana. It has not escaped me that this is CNA week. Ms Ileana goes that extra mile at a feverish pace to insure all her patients are well cared for. On the days she works, I notice her almost running around to meet our needs. Personally she has delivered my trays for meals, taken me for showers, changed my linens, provided me with toiletries when needed and religiously asks if I need anything.Additionally, Ginny from PT. She is so inspirational for my physical needs. When I came here I was not expecting her skills to strengthen my ability to move easier. She is cognitive of my limits as well. Ginny is bubbly everyday! She laughs and sings throughout her sessions. She makes me want to please her more every day!These professional women are an asset to Sunrise Health and Wellness Facility. My brother has been at Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation Center for about three weeks, and the staff there goes out of their way to make him comfortable and help him recover to full strength. From the physical and occupational therapists, the nutritionists and food staff, and the nursing and medical staff, Sunrise staff keep my brother motivated and engaged in his recovery in small and big ways.In particular, Susie in the concierge department lined him up for a pedicure and found him personal items he needs. Dee in reception got him an appointment with Giovanni, the salon guy, who gave him a much-needed haircut and shave on his day off. And Ruth Jean-Francois, my brother's CNA, has provided daily support and care for him as he regains strength and mobility. I don't know the names of the other people who are taking care of my brother. I will add them here when I learn them.These are their jobs, but the kindness and caring attitudes of the Sunrise staff make my brother's recovery much more personal. Their caring professionalism is helping our family manage the worry that comes with having someone in the family sick.I highly recommend Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Was there after hip surgery. The nursing and P/T staff was caring and did a great job of getting me back on my feet . The admission an discharge process was horrible. Need a more timely and professional process.
Amazing staff, everyone is super duper helpful and caring. My CNA Lulu, Valerie, Aliany, Nurse Tassia, Jessie, they are all amazing human being. The PT department is top notch, they help me get back on my feet. Wound care Nurse G and Teresa is very good, they help me really well. Concierge Shanique always check on me to make sure I am doing good, my mom visit me daily and Shanique make sure she have a wheelchair ready to assist her over to see me always. I will never forget you guys here.
No place is perfect if you have to spend four months there as I did when I broke my patella, but it came pretty close. The room was bright, cheerful, well maintained with frequent cleaning and trash removal. The bed was comfortable, and tv channels covered a wide spectrum of interests.But it was the staff who really made the place. Three shifts of Certified Nursing Assistants paid good attention to patients, and were also available by bedside pull cords. All were competent. A few shining examples were Gail, Fallon, Lorna, Lova, who went way beyond their job descriptions. The nurses were another caring group, including Marie, who would dig in and help when they were needed. And two Concierge walked through the wards each day, answering questions, and helping patients cut through the really moderate amount of red tape.But, in everything positive, there are also a few negatives. Food services were weak, and the food that came up on trays frequently didn't match the ticket that went with it. For example, i got milk witthout cereal, and cereal without milk.I also got a bagel and cream cheese with syrup and nothing to put it on despite the ticket saying pancakes.¹ Every so often, there'd be no soup spoon to go with the soup. Or no knife to spread the cream cheese.Ocasionally, I had to read the ticket to recognize what I had ordered. The kitchen did make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich when requested, and delivered it with a smile.But there were also excellent low profile people in the background. Steve from the supply room, went out of his way to make sure I never ran out of things; the activities people, including Lyndsay, who accompanied me to a couple of doctor's appointments -- boring duty, but so much appreciated; Joy, the secretary for the Ward, who arranged transportation, but did so much more; the lady who pushed the coffee/tea cart every day, and knew our preferences by heart, and delivered them with a smile.How could I forget the therapists: Amy, Georgie and her canine assistant, Teddy;SAM, who first get me out of bed and onto a walker; Shanna, and all the rest were great. They are a very strong incentive for choosing Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation Center.All in all, my experience was the best it could be, given my injury. And even though I don't wish toneeds lthem again, I would go back there in a heartbeat, if I needed help.
I am absolutely disgusted with the admission representative Sara. for someone who represents a place that promotes themselves with such high standards her level of unprofessionalism lack of empathy is a place i would NEVER put a loved one.DISGUSTING REPRESENTATION !!!

My patient and I has been at the Rehab for three weeks the wound care nurse Miss G she is simply the best wish they would have more caring and loving nurse like her compassion with a heart!!.. The unit manager For F on the morning shift 7-5 Ashley Goes to the call and Above I wish there were more nurses like Ashley The rehabs worker very compassion very caring take the extra step to make sure all of their patients get that TLC, Grace-Ann The secretary Unit F have no words they are simply the best I would give them a 10 out of 10 !!
Sunrise Rehab turned my dad's life around for the better. After experiencing a negative life altering experience, at Wilton Manors Health & Rehab my father was bed bound. He arrived to Sunrise Rehab after a lengthy hospital stay, totally weak and discouraged... Then he met Gio at physical therapy and things started to turn around. The entire team in the F Wing was compassionate and attentive. The supportive environment and friendly staff was everything my dad needed to mend. He worked with Gio for weeks to regain his strength. And, he fully recovered. In fact, he did so well that he could return to an ALF instead of receding to a nursing home. Sunrise Rehab gave my dad a new lease on life. It's a precious and priceless privilege, one that we greatly treasure. Our family is thankful.

If I could give BELOW ZERO stars, I would. This place is negligent & careless. Patients are just a number here. The place looks good from the outside. But the inside is pure evil. They are rotating staff all the time, and it’s the worst thing for older people. They are clueless for patient needs. They are basically robots with no heart.DO NOT send your loved ones here if you want them to be treated like a human being. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you want your loved ones to suffer a lot.

My husband Barry was a patient after dealing with knee replacement and a UTI. Every person on this staff has gone over and beyond the call of duty. Jackie in Dietary and Charmaine was always smiling and there to accommodate. Loved Fallon, Caroline and Jessie is superb.
This Rehab Facility is very nice, i would recommend this place to family and friends 5 star service. Everyone is so loving, professional and always willing to assist with every and anything. The Therapy department is great, Jennifer the therapist is very knowledgeable and caring, loving. Occupational Therapist Dyan is very helpful, she explains every steps of everything she is doing. The Nurse Tassia Grant is amazing, very excellent nurse, she really loves what she does and it shows. The nurse Jessie is very professional, she goes above and beyond with the care she provides. The CNAs Adaline, Caronite are excellent, very helpful. The activities department is always there to cheer you up with their many games and different activities on a daily basis, the coffee and tea and books. Shanique the Customer Service young lady is great, she is always available to fix anything and everything, well spoken and well dressed.Everyone is super nice.Ernestine
My dad has been here for a month so far and can’t complain about it. They are so caring with him. I need to shout out the girls from the activities department. The have a great time with the the people, Tina, Moreen and Lurline were great at keeping the guests engaged and seem to love their job and it is appreciated.

The rehab team literally brought me back to life where I can function again. I came in screaming and am leaving happy. I am a patient in sunrise rehabilitation center it's my second time around and I wouldn't choose another rehab the nurses are amazing the cna s also,claudea is awesome with her yoga susie in concierge is amazing always making sure am doing ok and that am getting great care during my stay ,she's check up and me and my roommate getting anything we need it's a lovely facility the rehab staff is amazing also now am on my way back home thanks to sunrise rehabilitation they did an amazing job,.

Not sure what side of the facility these people are writing about. But, we put our mother on the Hospice side. The night staff were not very nice to her and did not take very good care of her.We couldn't wait to get her out of there today. I wouldn't put a animal there to be cared for!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY! VERY CLEAN BUT DO NOT LET THAT FOOL YOU! IF YOUR FAMILY IS NOT ABLE TO SPLIT SHIFTS & BE THERE 24/7 YOU WILL EXPERIENCE SEVERE OVERSIGHT!!!!MY MOTHER FELL APPOX 4:30AM ON FEB. 26TH. HER NURSE WAS ABRUBT & RUDE AS HE CALLED TO INFORM ME SHE WAS AT HOSPITAL. I ASKED NURSE DIRECTOR (MRS. FABIAN) TO ADDRESS HIS UNWULLINGNESS TO PRACTICE EMPATHY. MY MOTHER TOLD ME AFTER THE INCIDENT SHE WAS IN A POOL OF HER BLOOD AS SHE FELL REACHING FOR SOMETHING ON HER NIGHT STAND. UNFORTUNATELY, SHE WAS IN THE ROOM ALONE BECAUSE THEY MOVED HER ROOMMATE DUE TO MY MOTHER CATCHING COVID AT THE FACILITY.AS SHE RETURNED TO FACILITY FROM GETTING STITCHES AT HOSPITAL ER, I ASKED CARLTON (SUPERVISOR OF E WING) TO MAKE SURE HER NAILS & HAIR IS CLEANED SO THE BLOOD IS REMOVED FROM HER FALL. AFTER SEVERAL CNA'S FAILED ATTEMPTS TO SATISFY THIS REQUEST I FOUND A NURSE DAYS LATER THAT ACCOMPLISHED THIS EFFORT. I THOUGHT THIS OVERSIGHT WAS UNUSUAL AS CARLTON HAS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE FROM SPEAKING TO HIM AS WELL AS THE SUPPORT HE RECEIVES FROM PEERS AS WELL AS MRS. FABIAN.I EXPLAINED TO CARLTON THAT THE TABLE MY MOTHER FELL BY DOES NOT WHEEL LOCK ADEQUATELY. THUS, WHAT FALL PROTOCOLS DOES THE FACILITY HAVE? HE INFORMED ME THAT LOWERING THE BED & PLACING FALL MATS AT BEDSIDE MITIGATES FALLS. I TOLD HIM THE BED WAS NOT LOWERED THE NIGHT MY MOTHER FELL NOR FALL MATS IN PLACE.SUBSEQUENTLY, I OBSERVED THAT FALL MATS WERE NOT BEING UTILIZED AT HER NEW ROOM AFTER SPEAKING WITH CARLTON. I INQUIRED & HE SAID HE DOESN'T WANT TO USE THEM FOR HER BECAUSE IT COULD BECOME A TRIP HAZARD. NEVERTHELESS, MY MOTHER HAD A SEVERE HEMORRHAGE A COUPLE DAYS LATER WHERE I'M LUCKY I WAS THERE IN THE ROOM. SHE WAS QUARANTINED IN A ROOM WITHIN E WING WITH THE DOOR CLOSED AND NO ROOMMATE. MOST TIMES THE ALERT BUTTON WOULD BE COILED UP & TIED IN A WAY FOR HER NOT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS IT. NO LAND LINE PHONE IN THE ROOM & ONLY IF MY MOTHER HAD SIGNAL ON HER MOBILE PHONE WOULD SHE BE ABLE TO CALL ME THEN TELL ME THESE PEOPLE HAVE ME LOCKED UP IN HERE. THEN, I WOULD CALL CARLTON AND RELAY THE ISSUE AND HE SAYS HE WOULD RESOLVE THE MATTER.ONE EVENING A FEW DAYS LATER SHE DECLINED AFTER EATING SOUP AT DINNER. I ASKED THE STAFF ON THE E WING OF WHO DELIVERED THE SOUP BECAUSE MY MOTHER IS DECLINING, I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. FINALLY, THE NURSE CHECKED HER BLOOD PRESSURE. I RAN TO GET CARLTON WHO CALLED THE DOCTOR & THEN ULTIMATELY 911. THE CNA'S DIDN'T EVEN COME BY TO ASSIST THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS!!!THIS FALL CAUSED MY MOTHER TO HAVE BLOOD CLOTS IN HER BRAIN, AN ADDITIONAL BRAIN HEMORRHAGE (TOTALING THREE), TWO BRAIN SURGERIES AND WEEKS OF LIFE SUPPORT & EXPERIENCED INCAPACITATION.CARLTON HAS YET TO REACH OUT TO ME TO CHECK ON MY MOTHER! WHEN I VISITED THE FACILITY TO COLLECT HER BELONGINGS HE AVOIDED ME AS I HAD A NURSE PAGE HIM SO I COULD GIVE HIM AN UPDATE ON MY MOTHER.I LATER VISITED THE FACILITY AGAIN TO ACQUIRE HER MEDICAL RECORD & INCIDENT REPORT AND WAS INFORMED THE MEDICAL RECORDS WILL NOT HAVE THE FALL ONCIDENT ONCLUDED. THE FALL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE VIA SUBPOENA ONLY.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, BE AWARE WHEN PUTTING YOUR LOVED ONES IN SPECIALIZED FACILITIES AS THIS ONE WAS HIGHLY RECOMMEND & I'VE LEARNED ALIKE FACILITIES EXPERIENCE SIMILAR COMPLICATIONS BY DESIGN. UNDERSTAFFED, INUNDATED MEDICAL PERSONNEL MANIFEST DETRIMENTAL SITUATIONS.

From the moment I got the position and still to this day, I love what I do and that is all due to the wonderful people/ patients I have been lucky to meet.The facility always clean, employees are nice but for me what I offer is love and kindness and the ability to make the ladies feel beautiful once again and the gentleman feel handsome! I wish everyone really understood how important our job is. Everyone at Sunrise has been super helpful with my dad! He had a stroke and has been at Sunrise since the end of October. The care from the nurses, aides, therapists, concierge and front desk have been nothing short of wonderful. Johnnetta Mitchell is so personable and truly cares about each patient and does her best to help in any situation. Her warm demeanor and positive attitude is what keeps us, the caregivers, going some days. Rose and Margaret are excellent at what they do and they provide dad with some of the best care I’ve seen. My family is truly blessed to have these amazing women caring for dad and we have peace knowing he’s in good hands.

I am really surprise with the staff in Sunrise Haalth & Rehabilitation Center there professionalism is definitely another level. I have done medical transportation in different areas for 13 years. One of the biggest problems that I have with other facilities is that there patients 90% of the time They are never ready, and I always call 15 min before I get there. That never happens with sunrise. Health & Rehabilitation ,Miss Doneila Gray makes ppl feel like your part of the family. A very unique personality is very hard to find .

Just last night while visiting, my client wanted something else for dinner and the staff nurse was very attentive and made it happen within 20 minutes. I found this to be very impressive. My grandfather has been at this facility for around 3 months now. Initially, I wasn't too impressed with the dated interior, but I'm happy to share that they're currently undergoing renovations, and the progress is coming along great! One particular employee made a significant effort to connect with my grandfather, who can be fussy, and this meant a lot to us.While the facility boasts many caring employees, Ms. Caring Gallagher, the Clinic Coordinator, has truly gone above and beyond. She has been extensively involved throughout the process, quickly addressing concerns, providing valuable information, and genuinely caring for my grandfather's well-being. Our entire family extends a heartfelt thank you to Sunrise Health & Rehabilitation and especially to Ms. Gallagher. ❤️
Amazing experience. I was welcomed by Joanne River, Carlton, Carolina and a few more people. The place looks new and is very clean. Residents were doing activities happily, and they even have a Little Pet Dog that helps with patient' therapy. I will definitely choose this place over any others.

Sunrise Health and Rehab Center has made some very big improvements with the new ownership & management. My mother tells me all the time about the staff and how well they treat her! Sherry the unit manager on F Wing is very helpful and always going above and beyond. Fabienne the DON was very resourceful and really knows her staff! I even met with Brandy in Human Resources and she was a great help with things as well! Overall - the staff is all wonderful here!

I can not say enough positive comments about our first impression after bringing a family member into the facility yesterday for rehab. Initially Sarah the Admissions Director went above and beyond our expectations to make sure the transfer from the the hospital went smooth, and a bed was available when the hospital discharged happened. The staff we met on F wing was warm, friendly and extremely accommodating to make sure our family member feel very comfortable upon arriving at an unfamiliar environment. Finally, my hat goes off to Charmaine, the facility administrator for putting together such an amazing staff and maintaining such a beautiful facility.

She was knowledgeable, patient and courteous. She embodies true customer service principles. She made my experience/visit at Sunrise worthwhile. Sunrise Health &Rehabilitation Center is like a breath of relief! I was very indecisive on where to put my uncle because with his condition he is very stubborn, but when I got on the phone with Tamara Cato!! Omg she was all the assurance we needed, she was soo patient an understanding and when we finally went in and she met us it was like a ray of sunshine. She never left us wondering, the best service we could ever ask for and nursing staff was exceptional, even my uncle was who seldom smiles, face lights up everytime I remind him of Tamara.Thanks to the staff🙏🏽 Special Big up Mrs Cato.

Sunrise Health & Rehab is a most excellent facility. It is under new ownership & the owners personally took an interest in my mom and were a great help to my father.The staff at every level was fantastically helpful. From the unit manager Carlton, on E wing to the nurses Chloe & Jonathan, to the aides, to the social services people Cari & Jenna you have our deepest appreciation for your hard work & dedication in helping care for my mom & watching over my father during his visits. To the laundry staff who helped to find my mother’s lost blanket which was a gift to her from her granddaughter, thank you! To all the therapists who worked with my mother, thank you.The first thing one notices at Sunrise is the happy disposition of all the staff. Everyone says hello with a smile. This must flow down from the top. Happy employees take good care of the patients.When it came time for my mother to move to another facility, Jenna & Cari did all they could to help & follow up.The facility is clean & doesn’t smell. There are serene places to sit outside.All this is in contrast to the horrible experience at the vaunted Woodlands at John Knox Village. My mom was there twice and it was the same. Unhelpful & uninterested staff. Annoyed all the time. I'm a independent hairstylist at Sunrise Rehabilitation center, Of all the Rehab's I've seen I have to say this is the cream of the crop, the top of the top. I see how well the residents are fed, and treated. Just one word to describe it "Amazing". The staff (Charmaine, Brandy, Harolyn, Narissa, Vivian, and the rest of the staff) are amazingly co-operative and want the best for the residents. I'm very happy being a hairstylist there and hope to stay there till I retire.
Working as an NP at sunrise for the past 5 months and it has been a pleasure to come to work and interact with the staff and patients . My dad recently had a stroke and was hospitalized. I was faced with the task of selecting a rehabilitation facility and I must say that was nerve wrecking. I reviewed a few facilities and narrowed down to 3. After praying for guidance I was led to Sunrise Health & Rehabilitation. I met several friendly staff at the facility but I'd like to highlight a social worker Ms. Tracy Chung. I told Ms Chung that I was nervous about my dad being in the unit as he's been cared for by only family. Ms. Chung assured me that my dad would be in good hands and so far, I'm pleased with the services rendered and hoping his stay will remain pleasant! Ms. Chung has done a remarkable job addressing all concerns we had in a timely manner. Ms. Chung is attentive to details and she follows up with family as a social worker should! Thanks for your services and to the other staffthank you! After 1 month of my dad being admitted to the facility, I'd like to say that I'd recommend Sunrise Health & Rehabilitation!

My husband has been here for some time and has always gotten excellent care. The nurses and aids are doing a wonderful job. I can rest easy knowing that he is being well taken care of.

I spent almost two weeks at this facility after a hip replacement in 2008. It was quite an experience recuperating from the surgery The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I left feeling very happy with my rehabilitation before going back to work for another week. 👍👍👍👍
This experience I shall never forget. Upon arriving at Sunrise Health Rehabilitation Center, I was greeted by the concierge, Susie. Susie was so warm and caring. While there she made herself available each day I was there. Things that I needed she saw that got them. Sunrise Health Rehabilitation is a caring place to get the care you need.

My mom Rose was in this rehab facility for over a month and I can’t tell you how impressed I was with the compassion, the friendliness of the staff. This was her first time ever going to a rehab facility and of course she did not want to go, but she had to go to get her strength back to be able to walk. When I tell you that these people went above and beyond to help her to encourage her to keep her spirits up, I was extremely impressed.Tracy Chung was the social worker and her compassion for my mom and myself was extraordinary because I myself was extremely nervous. Susie the concierge was always friendly and helpful with any questions I had and extremely helpful. The nurse Marie made my mom feel comfort and at ease and introduced her to taking medication with Apple sauce which was easier for her to take.Saly C I can not express how thankful I am for her dedication and comfort when I had to leave my mom, she went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of and made sure she ate her meals and drank her hot tea to get up her congestion I was speechless. And lastly Gigi… I give her a lot of credit for what she does, making sure my mom was always clean and dressed and comfortable, keeping a close eye on her and helping her with anything she needed. And lastly Angie the occupational therapist her patience and compassion were just extraordinary with how she treated my mother. I am just amazed how these ladies were with my mom and I will forever be grateful to them for treating my mom with dignity and respect.
My Nana was here for about a month and the staff here treated her so kindly. Tracy was always made herself available for my family. I cannot thank the staff enough for going out of their way to get to know her as a person rather than just another patient. Marie, Susie, Sally, and Gigi all did an amazing job. You all should be proud of yourselves for making such an impact on some many peoples lives. Thank you, god bless!

I am Maria A F22 room. I came here to get physical and occupation therapy. I have met many wonderful Sunrise Rehab staff all of them super caring. One that stood far beyond her duties as Concierge is Susie BShe is Amazing, super knowleable, kind, someone who goes out of her way to make us feel inclusive in such loving way. Susie B would do very well being a supervisor, trainer of new Concierge, lots of rewards. I was2 months in this facility and did not want to leave for home. All the nurses pt and ot staff treated me with respect.I cannot over emphasize their service and respect and to help other patients in more need than myself. Susie my concierge was an exceptional person to help with arranging appointments in liason with the desk staff who were also excellent. Susie always asked if there was anything she could do for me with a smile. Gayle the van driver drove me to many appointments and commend her safe driving .
Hear Was excellent also the care and the rehab was great, and Susie was the very best concierge always and my question and always have a big smile on her face ☺️☺️☺️

A few excellent workers who made my 4 weeks here bearable : Susie, Mag Voicy, Nadya, and the Physical Therapist (Giovanni!) led the way through a maze of gratuitous obstacles. Blessings to them. Gratitude.Other performances were very problematic.
This place is heaven sent. My mom needed care after a back fracture, and was initially in another facility. It was horrible. We moved her to Sunrise and it has been nothing short of amazing. Every person who has cared for my mom has been truly the nicest, most caring people, I can't say enough good things. Please keep up the good work, there is a special place in heaven for everyone here. My mom, and my family, thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
the PT and OT people were great with my mom and very informative, unfortunately my mom didnt improve too much, through no fault of their own. she is just in a serious decline. the nurses Nadia and Denia were wonderful, so patient and nice with my mother. wish all facilities were as caring as them. I like that you can visit any time of the day or night. I would prefer if they had activities for the rehab patients, but i understand thats more for longterm patients.
My mom spent several weeks in rehab at Sunrise. She made significant progress in strengthening her muscles there, which enabled her to stand and take steps. I was impressed with the progress she made, and the staffs’ attention to her needs. Maria, the patient concierge went above and beyond in attending to my mom.
Upon visiting my loved one, there was a self check in process that was ok. No hassles at the front desk. The facility was beautifully decorated for the Christmas Season. I had access to his nurses if I required to speak to them. He told me that the laundry department was doing better. Upon another visit I saw that the dentist came and gave him new dentures, so he has his handsome smile once again and that he takes advantage of the spiritual prayers provided once a week by outside Ministers. However I am trouble by an injury to his foot that is still swollen after one months time and he is a diabetic. So that needs to be addressed. However, overall he is having a successful living arrangement at Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation. Lots of pluses with a few minuses.
Greeted when you come in the facility.. non touch screen identification process. Facility very clean. Love one well attended by staff, very caring. Mom needed her hair to be brushed. the Aide took the time to stop and attend to her.
I cannot start to praise enough the staff at Sunrise not only based on their professionalism butthe care and attention they give my mom. They are compassionate and patient and they always go the extra million miles to accommodate her needs and quirks especially bc my mom does not speak English. My personal experience with Charmaine Heron, Carlene Eustache, and all the nurses and CNA, especially my BFF, Ginette Dezile who are a fantastic professional as well as an incredible human being who is always super caring and attentive to my mom’s needs and mine. All the staff here from the ladies and gents that cook, brings the food (which by the way is verygood), the ladies that take care of the laundry, to the ones at the activity room are all wonderful. I can only says good stuff about this facility and its personnel. When my turn, if I get there, here is a place I would consider and recommend. You can be very proundof what you have accomplish and i am super happy with all these beautiful women that are so loving and caring. My most from the heart thank and gratitude. Love them all💝🤩
Hello everyone, I really would like to give an amazing review to Sunrise Health and Rehab. The nursing staff and therapy staff did a great job with my grandmother. When she went in, she wasn't able to stand and now she can walk with her walker. Thank you so much for your help.
A few weeks back my grandmother was put in a Sunrise Nursing and Rehab. Before she was admitted she was very depressed but over time the kindness of the staff and the encouragement of the physical therapist help her recover. She came home last week and she's able to move around on her own and I want to thank them for that.
Tamara from admissions gave me a tour of the rehab unit. She was very empathetic. The facility was clean and smelled really nice which is not typical of nursing homes. The rooms had flatscreen T.V’s, and were large. Unfortunately dad passed away and didn’t get to experience the rehab.
My husband was admitted to the facility and spent 60 days which the staff, M.D. were great. It Is difficult to mention everyone but the staff was attentive to my husband needs. Great experience. To mention just a few of the staff that help in in the F wing for his speedy recovery where Lisa, Sharon, Verna, the physical and occupational therapy team Georgie, Sean, Greta, Ricardo, Dane, Sheila, Tamara, Carolina and Maria of concierge and last but not least Gail of transportation.

Good day, wanted to give a pleasant review for the staff at Sunrise Health and Rehab. The building was very cleaning and I was surprised about the size of the room my uncle acquired while staying on their unit. They have a great Physical Therapy staff. I would refer anyone to that building.

After such a great accommodation and treatment as it relates to my grandmother’s hip replacement SUNRISE HEALTH REHABILITATION facility would rank at number (# 1) within the diaspora of Northern and Southern Florida .. they have well trained skilled professionals and a warm welcoming staffs that suit your needs at any given time “this is like an home away from home” I highly recommend this health facility as first preference on your list.

My family’s experience with Sunrise exceeded our expectations. The staff is warm and welcoming from the moment you enter the building— we were greeted with smiles upon every visit. The team on D-Wing provided exceptional care to my mom. Them along with the VITAS team, particularly hospice nurse Ancella and nurse manager Charmaine who worked together every step of the way to ensure my mother was well taken care of. The CNA’s and social worker are caring, the therapy team is great and the floor nurses and secretary are exceptionally helpful. The decision to place a loved one in a nursing home is a difficult one to make, but the staff on D-Wing at Sunrise made it easy for my family. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience.
We were recommended to come here by the hospital for rehab. Mom was apprehensive being her first time in rehab but she did great and fully recovered. Her nurses were great, and the physical therapist helped her to walk again after surgery.
